'Islamic Rule In India By 2047': NIA Files Chargesheet Against 3 In PFI Conspiracy Case
The charge sheet has been filed against Vajid Ali, Mubarik Ali, and Shamsher Khan in the Rajasthan PFI conspiracy case.
New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against three activists associated with the now-banned Popular Front of India (PFI) in connection with a case related to the "radicalization of Muslim youths". The three activists were allegedly involved in providing them with weapons training and establishing Islamic rule in India by 2047.
As per PTI, the chargesheet has been filed against Vajid Ali, Mubarik Ali, and Shamsher Khan in the Rajasthan PFI conspiracy case.
The case is related to the banned outfit's conspiracy to radicalise Muslim youths, and provide them weapons training for fighting against those who don't support the PFI's version of Islam as well as against the government of India.
Earlier, NIA had filed a charge sheet against three other accused -- Asif, Sadiq Sarraf, and Mohd Sohail -- in the case.
"Vajid Ali, Mubarik Ali, and Shamsher Khan conspired with the other co-accused to provide training in handling and use of weapons to gullible Muslims to commit violent acts. The accused have been found to be involved in organising arms training camps for the PFI to help achieve the aim of establishing an Islamic rule in India by 2047," the the agency said in a statement.
Popular Front of India is an Islamic political organisation, that engages in a radical and exclusivist style of Muslim minority politics. It was banned by the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs under Unlawful Activities Act on 28 September 2022.

Earlier today, 15 people associated with the PFI were awarded death sentences by a Kerala court for the murder of BJP OBC wing leader Ranjith Sreenivasan in December 2021. The convicts - Mohammed Aslam, Naisam, Abdul Kalam, Ajmal, Anoop, alias Salam, Abdul Kalam, Manshad, Jaseeb Raja, Navas, Sameer, Nazir,Saffaruddin, Zakir Hussain, Shaji Poovathungal, and Shernas Ashraf were found guilty of murdering Sreenivasan.
