'AAP Govt Should Be Dissolved, Polls Should Be Held In Nov': BJP On Kejriwal's Resignation Announcement
Two days after he was released from Tihar on bail in the excise policy scam case, Kejriwal said he would resign after two days and would demand early polls in Delhi.
After AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal announced that he would resign as Delhi Chief Minister, the BJP on Sunday demanded that the Delhi government should be dissolved and the elections should be conducted in November.
Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva said that entire party has been accused in Delhi Excise Policy and added that the people in Delhi know that Kejriwal looted the public.
"The AAP government should be dissolved and elections should be conducted in November. The public of Delhi will give its answer...The entire party is accused in the Delhi Excise policy...The public of Delhi knows that you (Arvind Kejriwal) looted the public of Delhi," Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva said.

Two days after he was released from Tihar on bail in the excise policy scam case, Kejriwal said he would resign after two days and would demand early polls in Delhi. He vowed not to sit in CM's chair till people give him a "certificate of honesty".
BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi, meanwhile, alleged that Kejriwal has became the first Chief Minister of this country to come out of jail and break the rules made by his own government.

"After coming out of the jail, fireworks were done. Delhi government decided to ban fireworks and the Chief Minister of Delhi came out of jail and broke the rules of the Delhi government...Why are you (Arvind Kejriwal) talking about resigning after coming out and what is the matter after 48 hours? The people of the country and Delhi want to know what is the secret of 48 hours, what all is to be settled in 48 hours?" Sudhanshu Trivedi said.
The BJP also claimed that Kejriwal played an "emotional card" by announcing that he would resign in his bid to make a virtue out of necessity.
"He is enacting the resignation drama because the court did not acquit him in the (excise policy scam) case and instead granted him a conditional bail, which turned him into a ceremonial minister from the chief minister," BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla claimed.
Poonawalla termed Kejriwal's move a "PR exercise and a drama" and said that the announcement is a part of his plan to make his wife Sunita Kejriwal the chief minister.
"Arvind Kejriwal has done a PhD on how to make a virtue out of necessity," the BJP leader said.
Addressing AAP workers, Kejriwal said he would hold a meeting of AAP MLAs in the next couple of days and a party leader would take over as chief minister.
In the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls, people ensured the defeat of the AAP and the Congress in all seven seats despite the Kejriwal-led party's 'jail ka badla vote campaign', Poonawalla said.
