'BJP Is Scared Of Uddhav Thackeray': MP Sanjay Raut Hits Out At Amit Shah After Nanded Rally

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut while speaking about Union Home Minister Amit Shah's Nanded rally claimed that the BJP is scared of Uddhav Thackeray.

Uddav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday claimed that the BJP is "scared" of Thackeray, saying that it is a good thing. Rajya Sabha MP's comments came just a day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a rally in Nanded while lashing out at the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief over the chain of events post the 2019 Assembly polls which broke the alliance of Shiv-Sena and BJP. Shah termed Thackeray's decision to join hands with the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress to form the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) as a "betrayal" for the sake of power.

Raut took to Twitter to say, "Listen to Home Minister Amit Shah's speech at Nanded. It's funny. I have a question. Was this a great contact campaign of BJP? Specially organised to criticise Shiv Sena party chief Uddhav Thackeray.. 7 minutes on Uddhavji in 20 minutes of Amit Bhai's speech. This means that the fall of Matoshree still remains. Shiv Sena broke. The name and the bow and arrow gave a lie to the traitorous group. However, the fear of Thackeray and Shiv Sena remains in the head. Yeh dar achcha hai. BJP should reflect on the question they asked Uddhav Thackeray. But they got themselves caught in the trap they created. I have taken such a leap."

Raut further said that the saffron party must introspect about the questions that they posed to Thackeray. He claimed that BJP is caught in its own web.

Legislative Council's leader of the Opposition Ambadas Danve said that the BJP keeps criticising the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena for breaking the alliance and forsaking the Hindutva by joining hands with Congress and NCP. He took to Twitter to say, "I am curious about what kind of Hindutva BJP achieved when it joined hands with Farooq Abdulla, Mebooba Mufti, Nitish Kumar, Mayawati, Om Prakash Chautala among others.”

He accused the BJP of luring some leaders into forging an alliance before the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls and said that BJP's Hindutva remains intact when it joins hands with these secular parties but when Shiv Sena (UBT) does it then it gets criticised for the same.
