Nine Killed In Jeep-Motorcycle-Truck Collision In Bihar's Kaimur, CM Condoles Death
Nine people killed after a truck, a jeep and a motorcycle collided in the Kaimur district of Bihar.
At least nine people, including two women died after a truck, a jeep and a motorcycle collided in the Kaimur district of Bihar in the late hours of Sunday. According to a PTI report, the incident occurred in GT Road near Devkali village in Mohania police station area.
While speaking to reporters, Mohania DSP Dilip Kumar stated that the accident occurred after a jeep, carrying eight people, including the women, hit a motorcycle while travelling in the same direction, likely after the jeep driver lost control. Following which the bike veered into the opposite lane where it was hit by a speeding truck, killing nine people on the spot.

Mohania DSP Dilip Kumar was quoted by PTI as saying, "According to eyewitnesses, the accident took place when a jeep, carrying eight people, including two women, first hit a motorcycle while travelling in the same direction. It seems that the driver had lost control over the jeep, leading to the collision."
"Subsequently, both the jeep and the bike veered into the opposite lane, where a speeding truck collided with them, resulting in the deaths of all nine people, including the motorcyclist, at the spot. The truck driver fled after the accident," Kumar added.

He said that the truck was seized and an investigation into the case is underway. Senior officials of the district administration reached the spot. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained. As per preliminary report, no other persons have sustained injuries in the accident. All the bodies were sent to Bhabua Sadar Hospital for post-mortem, Singh told ANI.
Statement By The CMO On Kaimur Accident
On Sunday night, the chief minister’s office released a statement condoling the deaths of the people, "The CM expressed his deep anguish at the horrific road accident near Mohania in Kaimur and offered his condolences to the bereaved families."
The CM directed senior officials of the district administration to provide all necessary medical support to the injured, the statement added.
The accident occurred just days after at least nine people were killed and several others injured after a truck and tempo collided head-on in Bihar's Lakhisarai district in the wee hours. The incident took place at Biharaura village along Lakhisarai-Sikandra main road, the police said, adding that the tempo, which was carrying 15 people, was coming from the opposite direction at the time of the collision.
