Brisbane: England's flamboyant opener Tom Banton smashed a series of five sixes in one over during his thrilling 19-ball 56 for Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League (BBL) against Sydney Thunder on Monday. Banton's fiery fifty is now the second best half-ton on the much-popular tournament. The highly rated T20 cricketer was snapped up by the two-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for his base price of Rs 1 crore in the recently held league auctions in Kolkata.

Earlier on Sunday, left-handed batsman Leo Carter emulated former India hard-hitting batsman Yuvraj Singh in the ongoing New Zealand's Super Smash T20 league.
