Virat trolled for posting Punam Raut's picture while congratulating Mithali Raj
New Delhi: India eves suffered 8-wicket loss to Southern stars in the group stage and will have to win their final game against New Zealand to secure a spot in the final four. But it was a special outing for India skipper Mithali Raj , who became the highest run-scorer in Women cricket history. Mithal Raj received praises from all horizons and her male counterpart Virat Kohli led the congratulatory messages on social media. But little did he know that he would end up creating a big blunder. The 28-year-old took to Twitter to wish Raj, "A great moment for Indian Cricket, @M_Raj03 becomes the highest run scorer in women's ODI cricket history. Champion Stuff!" Kohli tweeted, but posted a picture of Indian batsman Punam Raut instead of Mithal Raj in it. Virat, who is currently holidaying in the United States, realized his mistake and the tweet was deleted but by that time the damage was done and his tweet went viral on social media.
