Virat Kohli recently completed his sizzling 71st century, eventually putting a big full stop to all the criticism, doubts about his form, and his spot in India's squad for T20 World Cup 2022. But the journey from Virat's 70th century to the 71st century was not easy for the former India skipper.
After a long wait of 1020 days, Virat scored a ton in international cricket while batting for India against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022 and it was also the maiden ton of his T20 International career.

Sharing the Instagram story, Virat Kohli wrote, "Khao piyo aish karo mitro, dil par kisi da dukhayo na." Virat also shared a childhood photo with this message, in which he is seen eating food.
Virat Kohli made cricket fans all over the world happy by scoring an international ton after more than 1000 days. Million cricket fans were disappointed that defending champions India failed to reach final of the Asia Cup, but Virat's century healed wounds of every Indian cricket fan. In November 2019, Virat had scored the 70th international ton after which he scored his 71st ton in match against Afghanistan.
Virat came out to bat as an opener with KL Rahul against Afghanistan. He scored an unbeaten 122 runs off 61 balls at a strike rate of 200. In Asia Cup 2022, Virat scored 276 runs in five innings at an average of 92 and a strike rate of over 147 with help of one century and two half-centuries. Virat is currently at the top in list of batters who have scored maximum runs in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022.
