Vettel to start from pole in Hungarian GP

Johannesburg [South Africa], July 30 (ANI): Ferari's Sebastian Vettel will start Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix from pole followed by teammate Kimi Raikkonen.

Vettel clocked a best lap of 1 minute, 16.276 seconds, while Raikkonen was .168 behind in front of large contingent of flag-waving Finnish fans in the practice race in Budapest on Saturday, reports Sport24.

Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas was third, .254 behind, while Lewis Hamilton could only manage fourth, .431 behind as the three-time world champion missed out on equaling Michael Schumacher's all-time pole record of 68.

Scot Paul di Resta qualified an excellent 19th after being drafted in as a last-minute stand-in for Williams' Felipe Massa.

Vettel, the four-time world champion, leads Hamilton by just one point after 10 races. Hamilton won the British GP two weeks ago, while Vettel could manage only seventh. (ANI)
