'Bhai Opening Kar Lo, Kismat Badal Jayegi': Fan Suggests Rishabh Pant In Viral Video
Fans and cricket pundits have been suggesting replacing a struggling KL Rahul with hard-hitting Pant as India's opener to maximise his potential.
Rishabh Pant viral video: Team India's star batter Rishabh Pant has warmed the bench in India's first two matches against Pakistan and Netherlands in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022. The 25-year-old is still waiting for a chance to feature in India XI. It is highly unlikely that Pant might soon get a chance to play his maiden match in T20 WC. Firstly, the Men in Blue have won both their matches so making a change in playing XI doesn't make sense right now. Secondly, apart from KL Rahul, who is an opener, all other Indian batters have performed well so far. There's no one in the middle order who Pant can replace right now. His competitor Dinesh Karthik has fared well in his last few outings for India and is right now the best choice for a finisher's role.
Fans and cricket pundits have been suggesting replacing a struggling KL Rahul with hard-hitting Pant as India's opener to maximise his potential. Meanwhile, a video has surfaced on the internet in which a fan can be seen suggesting Pant to open for team India. The video was shot by someone when Pant was signing autographs and clicking selfies with fans after wrapping up India’s practice session.
A fan was heard suggesting Pant, "Bhai opening kar lo, kismat badal jayegi."

Ahead of India vs South Africa T20 WC match, team India's batting coach Vikram Rathour was asked during a press conference whether team management is considering replacing Rahul with Pant. Rathour said that the team is not thinking anything like that.
"No. We aren’t really not thinking about that," Rathour dismissed the idea of Pant’s inclusion for the time being. "I don’t think that’s a good enough sample size anyway. He’s been batting really well and has also batted well in practice games. So, we aren’t changing anything," he said about Rahul.
