Saha survives with DRS; Smith and Cummins livid

Saha survives with DRS; Smith and Cummins livid New Delhi: Umesh Yadav had given a fiery start to Day 2 by breaking Maxwell’s bat off the first ball and now Day 4 also got an action packed beginning in Ranchi. It was the first delivery of the second over of the day when Cummins delivered a perfect in swinger to Saha. The latter’s tendency to lunge forward went against him as the ball found its way to hit his front pad. Umpire Chris Gaffaney had no hesitation in raising his finger. Pujara and Saha decided to review the call after a brief discussion and there it was – India was finally getting its DRS calls right. The ball was missing; the decision had to be reversed. Immediately after the decision was reversed Indian opener Murali Vijay was seen cheering from the sidelines just like Virat Kohli had done on Day 3 morning. A completely different picture was seen in the faces of Steve Smith and Pat Cummins, who were devastated as soon as they saw the ball missing leg stump on the big screen. It remains to be seen whether the Australians now come with a reply for Vijay, like Maxwell did in the third day by mocking Kohli’s injury.
