Can Rohan Bopanna Better His Clay Record?
Rohan Bopanna has often faced trouble on the clay surfaces and endured a shocking first round exit from Roland Garros last year. Also, on top of that, the 44-year old was coming off a solitary win on the clay court into the tournament (from his past four matches on clay). However, with Matthew Ebden complementing the Indian legend, fans can expect an optimistic outcome this time around.
Even during his first round win over the unseeded pair of the Brazilians, he managed to drop a set and conceded quite some unforced errors. Rohan Bopanna will await his opponents for the next round and with 2024's Grand Slams' momentum on his side, Indian fans can expect the veteran to end the tournament on a high note, and more optimistically, win the entire thing.
The Round 2 opponents have officially withdrawn and the pair will straight away play the Round 3 by receiving a walkover.
