Shahid Afridi Criticises PCB For Postponing PSL 6 Due To Coronavirus
Pakistan Super League news: This is not the first time that the PCB is being criticised for the postponement of PSL 6. Nadeem Omer, owner of Quetta Gladiators, had blamed the PCB for the failure of the PSL 2021 bio-secure bubble.
The sixth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was postponed in the middle due to coronavirus. Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has lashed out at the Pakistan Cricket Board for postponing the tournament due to Coronavirus scare. Afridi said stopping the PSL in the middle proves that the PCB did not have a B to fall back upon.
“The PSL is a very big brand of Pakistan and Pakistan cricket and it is unfortunate that the PCB didn’t appear to have a plan B for this important event,” he said.

“But it appears they didn’t have a plan B when the COVID-19 cases were detected among some players and officials and this is surprising to me. The postponement didn’t send out a good message,” he said.
This is not the first time that the PCB is being criticised for the postponement of the Pakistan Super League. Nadeem Omer, owner of Quetta Gladiators, had blamed the PCB for the failure of the PSL 2021 bio-secure bubble.
"PCB chief Ehsan Mani admitted there is a lack of communication between the franchises and the cricket board," said Omar, while speaking on Geo News.
The sixth season of PSL commenced in the third week of February. But just after 12 matches, the tournament had to be stopped in the middle due to 7 cases of coronavirus being reported. The remaining 20 matches of the PSL's sixth season will take place in June.
