Pakistan Cricketers Reaction: Pakistan is living a dream from past 12 hours, as Arshad Nadeem has immortalised himself in the history books of the country with his Gold Medal win in Men's Javelin Throw. The 24 crore people of Pakistan had a sleepless night, as the nation ended it's 40-year wait for a Gold medal at the Olympics.

Such was the ecstacy that even cricketers could not hold themselves but to watch the spectacle and enjoy one of the most historic moments in their sporting history. The likes of Sarfraz Ahmed and Umar Gul were present alongside fellow cricketers, and their reaction has now gone viral, via a video posted by Pakistan Cricket Board on their official Instagram account.

Shoaib Akhtar Hails Rizwan And National Hospital Of Pakistan As Key Factors
Former Pakistan fast bowler has posted a video on his official 'X' account, congratulating Arshad Nadeem on his historic feat. The legendary right arm fast bowler labelled the athlete as 'Sher Ka Bachcha' (A Lion's Son) and stated that the Javelin thrower has changed the whole sporting complexion of the country.

However, while congratulating Arshad Nadeem, the 48-year old made a specific remark, in which he stated that it was Rizwan and the National Hospital of Pakistan that deserve a lot of credit and respect for their work, as they were the ones who helped Arshad Nadeem recover from his injury in time.
He stated that Rizwan helped the gold-medalist recover not just in Pakistan, but in London as well, and concluding the talk, Shoaib Akhtar mentioned that "the credit goes to all those people in the country who hepled Arshad Nadeem achieve his dream, as the nation had just sent 7 athletes, and one of them has a gold medal to his name".
