Neeraj Chopra's Mother Reaction: Neeraj Chopra has won the silver medal in Men's Javelin Throw final, thereby, bringing an end to his defence of his Olympic title, and the one who has dethroned him off his reign is none other than his 'brother' Arshad Nadeem from Pakistan. The two share immense repesct for each other and Arshad Nadeem has called Neeraj Chopra a 'brother' in the past as well.
Upon winning the silver medal, Neeraj Chopra's mother hailed the victory as special, and the entire family of the Indian athlete celebrated with sheer joy. However, during an interview with Saroj Devi (Neeraj Chopra's mother) by ANI, there were some wholesome statements made by her, which is now winning the hearts of people all over the country.
The mother hailed Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem 'like a son' and also stated that 'even a silver medal is worth gold to them'.

Saroj Devi's Wholesome Response In Detail
"No regrets, we are so so happy, extremely happy. Even silver medal is equivalent to a gold medal for us. It's okay if he (Arshad Nadeem) has taken the gold (medal), he is also one of us, from our house, like a son. Even he worked hard for it as well," said Saroj Devi.
When asked whether the family does have any regrets on Neeraj missing out on a silver, the mother had a lovely response for it.
"No worries sir, it's all about the day. It's sports, and sportsperson have their day, today it was Arshad's day. We are completely happy," she added.
