Paris is often referred to as the City of Love and it seems like it is already staying true to its name as it braces to host the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Argentina contingent participating in Paris 2024 Olympic Games has already witnessed a proposal when the their handball and field hockey team decided to take a group photo.

It was on this occasion that their handball player Pablo Simonet excused himself from the group and decided to go down on one knee to propose Argentine field hockey player Pilar Campoy at the Olympic Village. And even before the Games are to start, Campoy is now set to return home with a ring on her finger as she accepted Simonet's proposal.

Campoy and Simonet Began Dating In 2015

The Argentine couple was surrounded by their respective handball and field hockey teammates in the special moment. Simonet's brother Diego, who is also on the handball team, was also present.

Campoy began dating Simonet in 2015, a year before the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. In that edition of the Olympics in Brazil, Argentina's handball side had finished tenth. On the other hand, Campoy and the field hockey team secured a place in the quarterfinals.
