Newspaper Confuses Stranger Things' Characters With Footballers Greizmann And Umtiti, Old Pic Goes Viral
Footballer Antonie Griezmann wanted to jokingly imply that he and Samuel Umtiti could be the next stars in the web series Stranger Things.
New Delhi: A Bengali news publication mistakenly published pictures of Netflix web series Stranger Things stars Dustin and Lucas as pictures of footballers Samuel Umtiti and Antonie Griezmann being friends since childhood. Star footballers Samuel Umtiti and Antonie Griezmann are considered to be close friends. The duo together won the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia while playing for the French national team. Footballer Antonie Griezmann had tweeted a collage, years back, featuring himself and Umtiti to compare his friendship with that of Lucas and Dustin. Griezmann wanted to jokingly imply that he and Umtiti could be the next stars in the famous web series. The name of Bengali newspaper that carried out the advertisement is still not verified.
Many years later, a Twitter handle named Footy Humour shared the screenshot of the funny mishap by Bengali Newspaper, leaving netizens in splits.
