New Delhi's Hosting Of Shooting World Cup Under Cloud Amid The Serious Corona Virus Threat

The premier shooting event which is slated to be held in the national capital from March 15 to 26 will witness an ensemble of the best global shooters from across the world.

New Delhi: Amid the ever expanding threat of the Corona Virus which seems uncontrollable, there appears to be a serious concern on the hosting of the ISSF Shooting World Cup, which is slated to be held in New Delhi. The premier shooting event which is slated to be held in the national capital from March 15 to 26 will witness an ensemble of the best global shooters from across the world. The likelihood of the event getting cancelled or shifted to an alternate venue are high as after the fresh advisory issued by the Govt, athletes from a number of countries like China , South Korea , Iran, Japan and Italy will find it very difficult to get their visa. The participating issues seem never ending as shooters from many countries will have to go through a medical scanning process before they can enter the country . There will be officials and other delegates who are supposed to join in for the event as well . In this scenario a big question is whether these athletes , officials will be willing to go through a hectic screening process to get into the country to take part in the event or not . A few days back National Riffle Association of India ( NRAI ) had decided to withdraw participation from the Shot Gun World Cup in Cyprus .
