The 25-year-old Athelte's qualifying round lasted for only a few minutes after he sent the spear to his fourth career-best distance while competing in the Group A qualification round.

The qualifying mark for the 2024 Paris Olympics is 85.50m and the qualifying window started on July 1. Neeraj who won a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics has a career-best throw of 89.94 that he achieved during the Stockholm Diamond League on June 30, 2022. Talking about Neeraj's run, Julian Webber of Germany was the only player in the qualification set A to have broken the 80m mark in the first round of throws.
