Former motorsports racing driver Michael Schumacher's family is mulling to take a legal action against a German magazine which carried an interview with the seven-time F1 champion which was revealed to have been generated by artificial intelligence (AI). 

It is worth highlighting that the 54-year-old has not made a public appearance since he sustained a brain injury in a skiing accident on a family holiday in the French Alps nearly a decade ago. Initially, he was in medically induced coma. Not much details have emerged about his present health and medical condition.

Notably, Die Aktuelle, the German magazine ran a cover story with the headline: "Michael Schumacher, the first interview." It was described as "sounding deceptively real" and as it turned out the quotes had apparently been generated by AI.

"We live together at home. We do therapy. We do everything we can to make Michael better and to make sure he's comfortable, and to simply make him feel our family, our bond," Schumacher's wife Corinna Schumacher had said in a 2021 Netflix documentary.

There are not too many details on his current condition as his family has kept any news regarding him confidential.

"We're trying to carry on as a family, the way Michael liked it and still does. And we are getting on with our lives.

"Private is private', as he always said. It's very important to me that he can continue to enjoy his private life as much as possible. Michael always protected us, and now we are protecting Michael."

The motorsport legend has been under a 24x7 medical care at his home in Switzerland since 2014 and his family members have been pretty particular about his privacy, not giving much away to the media or even Schumacher's former colleagues and friends.
