Two matches are scheduled to be played in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) Phase 2 on Tuesday. A confident Delhi Capitals will aim to continue their winning streak when they take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the first match of the double-header Tuesday in Sharjah.

Delhi Capitals, with 16 points, are currently on the second position in IPL 2021 points table. In today's match, Delhi defeating Kolkata will help them confirm a place in the IPL playoffs. KKR, in their previous match, were defeated by Chennai Super Kings. Kolkata will aim to regain their momentum by defeating a strong side like DC.  Kolkata Knight Riders are currently at number four in the points table.

If Delhi Capitals beat Kolkata Knight Riders today, they will become the first team to qualify for the playoffs in IPL 2021. Delhi is at number two in the IPL points table by winning 8 out of 10 games. With return of veteran batsman Shreyas Iyer, Delhi has become stronger than ever. 

In the Kolkata Knight Riders vs Delhi Capitals match being played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, KKR skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Star speedster Tim Southee is making his debut for KKR in this match, while for Delhi, Steve Smith has been given a chance in place of Prithvi Shaw.
