Usain Bolt Launches New York Stadium: The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium will host the IND vs PAK T20 World Cup 2024 fixture in June 9. Shoaib Malik was spotted in viral pics with Bolt.
Usain Bolt, legendary track and field athlete and ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 Ambassador, launched the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium which is set to host the marquee India vs Pakistan (IND vs PAK) T20 World Cup 2024 fixture on June 9 (Sunday) among other matches of the competition. Bolt was at the launch ceremony along with several cricket legends and New York sports icons.
Bolt was accompanied by USA cricketers Corey Anderson and Monank Patel while cricket legend Sir Curtly Ambrose (West Indies), Shoaib Malik (Pakistan) and Liam Plunkett (England) were also present at the launch of the brand new venue. The ICC shared pictures of the launch of the venue which has broken the internet.

New York sports stars, including John Starks (NBA / New York Knicks), Elena Delle Donne (WNBA/USA), Bartolo Colon (MLB/New York Yankees-Mets), Victor Cruz (NFL/New York Giants), and Ibtihaj Muhammad (Fencing/USA) were also in attendance in what the International Cricket Council (ICC) described as a landmark event.

Getting One Of Cricket's Biggest Events Into USA A Big Milestone: Bolt
Meanwhile, all the stars present during the occasion signed a huge cricket bat which will remain at the venue for the all the eight fixtures that will be played there between June 3-12.
"Coming from the Caribbean where cricket is a part of life, I’m very excited to be part of the T20 World Cup coming to the USA for the first time, co-hosting with the West Indies," Bolt said as per an official ICC release.
"Getting one of the sport’s biggest events into the USA is a big milestone and can provide a launching pad leading towards cricket’s inclusion in the LA Olympics in 2028," he added.
