Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav To Leave Mumbai Indians Ahead Of IPL 2025: Report

While there are reports about Rohit and Suryakumar leaving Mumbai Indians, no official information has been revealed regarding this.

Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav might leave Mumbai Indians ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, and Kolkata Knight Riders could target these players in the mega auction scheduled for next year, Dainik Jagran reported.

The last season of IPL was challenging for five-time winners MI. While there are reports about Rohit and Suryakumar leaving Mumbai Indians, no official information has been revealed regarding this.

Last season, Mumbai Indians asked Rohit Sharma to step down from the captaincy to announce Hardik Pandya as his replacement. This decision outraged MI fans, and the team's players were reportedly unhappy with it. It looks like this bold move from MI may continue to haunt them in the upcoming season.

If Rohit Sharma leaves Mumbai Indians, he might join Gujarat Titans or Delhi Capitals for IPL 2025.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant could leave Delhi Capitals and potentially join Chennai Super Kings, as Delhi is reportedly not happy with Pant's performance during IPL's last season.

The reason why CSK would want Rishabh Pant is that MS Dhoni, who doesn't have age on his side and is also struggling with knee injury issues, might announce his retirement from the IPL ahead of the upcoming 2025 edition. Wicketkeeper Pant, an experienced captain, is seen as a perfect replacement for Dhoni.

Pant has been playing for Delhi Capitals ever since making his Indian Premier League debut in 2016. He was bought by Delhi Capitals in 2016 for Rs 1.90 crore and was retained in 2018 for Rs 8 crore. Starting in 2022, he received Rs 16 crore, a price that remained unchanged in 2023. However, he was forced to miss IP: 2024 season due to an accident.

Also, KL Rahul might leave Lucknow Super Giants to join Virat Kohli-starrer Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as their captain. For last three seasons, under the captaincy of Faf du Plessis, RCB have failed to win the IPL trophy.
