Breaking News: Manish Sisodia To Meet CM Kejriwal Soon, Watch Video | ABP News
In Delhi, political activity has intensified for the second consecutive day. On Sunday, September 15, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced his resignation from the position, leading to widespread speculation about his successor. The names currently in contention include Atishi, Saurabh Bharadwaj, and Kailash Gahlot. Meanwhile, the BJP has accused Kejriwal of attempting to install his wife, Sunita Kejriwal, as the new Chief Minister. Kejriwal made the surprising announcement after being released from jail, addressing party leaders and workers. He stated that he would resign from his position by September 17 due to the corruption allegations against him and Manish Sisodia. Kejriwal emphasized his readiness to face the test of integrity and urged the public to vote for him if they believed in his honesty, assuring that if elected, he would return to the Chief Minister’s office. Kejriwal clarified that the next Chief Minister would be from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and a legislative party meeting would be convened soon to decide this. He stressed that both he and Sisodia would now present themselves before the public as a form of accountability. Criticizing the BJP, Kejriwal said that their attempt to break his resolve by sending him to jail had failed. He accused the BJP of using a strategy to imprison Chief Ministers in states where they could not form a government, citing the example of Hemant Soren’s resignation.
