Picture Of Auction Sheet After MS Dhoni's Sale In First-Ever IPL Auction Resurfaces
IPL 2024 Auction: Hours before the start of the bidding war, a picture of the auction sheet from the first-ever auction has resurfaced on social media.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) auction is all set to get underway in Dubai in just a few hours from now on December 19 (Tuesday). While this will be the seventeenth season of the IPL, the excitement among fans seem to increase with every passing year. And now with the 2024 Auction approaching, a picture has resurfaced on social media which shows the Auction sheet just after MS Dhoni was sold to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the first-ever IPL Auction.
While Dhoni was sold for a huge sum of more than INR 6 crore, the record for the costliest pick at the auction has been broken multiple times while he continues to be with the Men in Yellow every season barring the two editions of the tournament in which CSK was banned from participating in the T20 League.

Mallika Sagar First Women Auctioneer In IPL History
Even before the 2024 auction could get underway, the bidding war has already made a record with Mallika Sagar set to be the first-ever Women Auctioneer in IPL history. While she did conduct the bidding wars for the first two editions of the Women's Premier League (WPL) Auction including the one which was conducted earlier this month, this will be the first time for her in charge of an IPL Auction. She replaces Hugh Edmeades who had a bit of a health scare as well midway through the IPL 2022 Auction.
