Nathan Coulter-Nile shared the new ball from the other end and was bowing in the IPL 2020 for the very first time. The paceman looked a bit out of form as he bowled three wides in his 1st over. Boult in his second over provided an early breakthrough after Suryakumar Yadav grabbed an absolute fine catch at point to dismiss the KKR opener for just 7 off 9 balls. Andre Russell, the new man in, averted a hat-trick with a single and later brought up the 50 for Kolkata Knight Riders with the help of a big six into the stands. Andre Russell looked in good touch and smashed blistering boundary but in the same over MI speedster Jasprit Bumrah rattled him with a short ball. Pat Cummins made his way in the middle after Russell departed. It was Cummins and Morgan's partnership that took the tottering innings close to the 150-run mark.
