IPL 2020, SRH vs KKR: Lockie Ferguson Shines, Helps Kolkata Pull Off A Sensational Super Over Win Over Hyderabad At Abu Dhabi

IPL 2020, Hyderabad vs Kolkata: Hyderabad openers Kane Williamson and Jonny Bairstow gave their team a super start with a fluent 57-run opening stand but the duo of sensational fast-bowlers Andre Russell and Lockie Ferguson bowled remarkably well to get wickets at regular interval and get rid of Jonny Bairstow, Kane Williamson and Priyam Garg hurt to put KKR on top.

Lockie Ferguson's sensational bowling spell for Kolkata Knight Riders helped the mid-placed team pull off a Super Over win over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday at Abu Dhabi. A hobbling Andre Russell managed to stop David Warner to force the game to a super over, third of the season, as Sunrisers Hyderabad finished their innings at 163/6 vs Kolkata Knight Riders in their allotted 20 overs. At the end of first six overs, Sunrisers were on top but soon Morgan's unusual move to introduce spinner Lockie Ferguson into the attack cleaned up Williamson (19-ball 29) in the very first ball. A valuable knock by the Kiwi skipper came to an end with Nitish Rana taking a simple catch. In his next over, Ferguson bowled a brilliant slower ball to trap Garg for  and after that, Sunrisers started imploding. KKR etched their way back into the game by getting the big wicket of Jonny Bairstow, who holed out to long-on to give Varun Chakravarthy his first wicket. Ferguson came up with a triple strike as this time he castled Manish Pandey (6) with a perfect on target off-stump yorker. The star bowler had now highly unsettled the KKR in their run-chase. Warner smashed back-to-back boundaries to level the score and force a super over. However, his efforts vent in vain as KKR ultimately won the game in the super over. Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad invited Kolkata Knight Riders to bat first after winning the toss in the 35th match of IPL-13, at Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Sunday. Hyderabad bowlers showcased great disciplined bowling to restrict Kolkata Knight Riders to 163/5 on Sunday.
