Royal Challengers Bangalore attained a dominating 8-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at Abu Dhabi on Wednesday to reach second spot in the IPL 2020 points table. RCB won the match with 39 balls remaining.
Coming down to chase KKR's paltry target of 85 runs, Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal gave RCB a good start but the two departed in a quick succession before Virat Kohli joined Gurkeerat Mann, who was promoted at the number 3 position today.
Virat Kohli and Gurkeerat Mann remained unbeaten and made sure their team secured a second spot in the points table. No one had expected KKR to score just 84/8 after winning their last game in a Super Over.

Earlier, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bat first against Royal Challengers Bangalore. No bowler apart from Siraj has attained this feat in IPL before. The RCB speedster also took 3 wickets in his first spell off his first 3 overs to literally destroyed KKR's top-order. Not only this, Siraj pushed the KKR team to the backfoot with 2 wickets in 2 consecutive balls in an over.
