Irfan Pathan's Big 'IPL 2023 Play-Offs Prediction' For Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore

Once again, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are off to a poor start in the IPL tournament, winning just one out of their three matches.

One of the most exciting matches of the 2023 season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2023) was played on Monday (April 10) at MA Chinnasamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In this match, Lucknow Super Giants defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by one wicket off the last ball of final over. RCB, batting first, scored 212 runs after losing two wickets. In reply, Lucknow chased down the mammoth target on the last ball of their innings. With this win, Lucknow Super Giants moved to number one position in IPL 2023 Points Table, having six points from four matches.

Once again, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are off to a poor start in the IPL tournament, winning just one out of their three matches. RCB will hope to return to winning ways when they go up against Delhi Capitals in their next IPL 2023 match. Meanwhile, ex-India pacer Irfan Pathan has backed RCB to make it to the IPL 2023 Playoffs. Pathan feels that the RCB spinners need to step up.

"RCB have had their fair share of injury concerns in this season as several key players have been ruled out. They are missing their key pacers in Josh Hazelwood and Reece Topley due to injuries. But, I believe, RCB spinners will have to rise to the occasion now at M Chinnaswamy. Only then they will aid the fast bowlers like Mohammed Siraj and Wayne Parnell. If RCB end up winning their next 2-3 games at home, I am seeing RCB in the playoffs," Pathan told Star Sports, the official TV broadcaster of TATA IPL.

Irfan was accompained by ex-India skipper Sunil Gavaskar on the show who talked about Mumbai Indians' 'biggest problem since last season, till date'.

"MI's biggest problem since last season till date has been the lack of partnerships. Unless you have big partnerships, it is difficult for you to score big. MI has been seen struggling continuously in this regard. MI should have built their innings on short but useful partnership between Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan, but they failed," Gavaskar said on Star Sports.
