The Indian Premier League (IPL) mini-auction is set to occur at Dubai's Coca-Cola Arena on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. This marks the first time the IPL auction will be hosted outside India. With the player registration deadline closing on November 30, preparations are in full swing for the IPL Auction 2024. A substantial 1166 players have enlisted, comprising 830 Indian players and 336 overseas contenders. This extensive list includes 212 capped players, 909 uncapped players, and 45 from ICC associate nations. All ten IPL teams have unveiled their rosters, revealing retained and released players for the upcoming 2024 IPL season, starting in March next year. 

With big names like Travis Head, Rachin Ravindra, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins, Daryl Mitchell, Wanindu Hasaranga, Lockie Ferguson, Shardul Thakur, the anticipation for the event is sky-high. Their presence guarantees an electrifying event.

- RCB's Total Expenditure: Rs 76.75 crore.
  Remaining purse for IPL Auction 2024: Rs 23.25 crore.
- CSK's Total Expenditure: Rs 68.6 crore.
  Remaining purse for IPL Auction 2024: Rs 31.4 crore.
- MI's Total Expenditure: Rs 82.25 crore.
  Remaining purse for IPL Auction 2024: Rs 17.25 crore.
- GT's Total Expenditure: Rs 61.85 crore.
  Remaining purse for IPL Auction 2024: Rs 38.15 crore.
- LSG's Total Expenditure: Rs 86.85 crore.
  Remaining purse for IPL Auction 2024: Rs 13.15 crore.
- KKR's Total Expenditure: Rs 67.3 crore.

Among all the franchises, Gujarat Titans (GT) currently hold the highest purse at Rs 38.15 crore. This big amount came in to them from Mumbai Indians (MI) following the trade involving Hardik Pandya, who returned to his former franchise. Conversely, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) possess the smallest purse among the 10 franchises, standing at Rs 13.15 crore.
