IPL 2022: Brian Lara Debuts In IPL As Batting Coach Of Sunrisers Hyderabad
Lara has been made the batting coach of the team. Along with this, he will also perform the responsibility of Strategic Advisor.
Brian Lara Sunrisers Hyderabad Coach IPL: Brian Lara, the biggest batsman of West Indies cricket and who scored more than 22,000 runs in international cricket, has joined Sunrisers Hyderabad this time in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Lara has been made the batting coach of the team. Along with this, he will also perform the responsibility of Strategic Advisor. Sunrisers have taken this decision after taking VVS Laxman took charge of the National Cricket Academy.
Dale Steyn will also appear with Hyderabad along with Brian Lara. Steyn has been given the role of the fast bowling coach. At the same time, the responsibility of spin bowling will be with Muttiah Muralitharan. Former Sri Lankan player Muralitharan is the highest wicket-taker bowler in cricket history. He has taken 1347 wickets in 495 matches.

It has to be noted that Lara is one of the legendary players in cricket history. He has scored 11953 runs in 131 Test matches. Lara's best score in this format is 400 not out. He has scored 34 centuries and 48 half-centuries in Tests.
This great West Indies cricketer has scored 10405 runs in 299 matches of ODIs. He has scored 19 centuries and 63 half-centuries in this format. Talking about Dale Steyn, he has taken 439 wickets in Tests and 196 wickets in ODIs.
Significantly, Sunrisers Hyderabad was at the bottom of the points table of IPL 2021. He won only 3 matches out of 14. Whereas in 11 matches he had to face defeat.
