DC vs MI: Mumbai Indian Ace Bowler Jasprit Bumrah Takes Purple Cap For Most Wickets

Mumbai Indians lethal paceman Jasprit Bumrah is ranked among the most dangerous bowlers in the world. In tonight's game against the Delhi Capitals, the Mumbai-lad bowled a sensational spell and took two wickets in the same over to surpass his best performance in any one season. In the match against heavyweights Delhi Capitals, he took 3 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs. Earlier in the year 2017, Bumrah picked 20 wickets, which was his best performance.

In the 12th over of the innings against Delhi Capitals in tonight's match, Bumrah first dismissed Marcus Stoinis, then cleaned up Rishabh Pant. These were his 21st and 22nd wickets of this season. Not only this, this was Bumrah's sixth double wicket over in Indian Premier League (IPL), which is now a record.

In the 51st match of IPL 2020, Mumbai Indians captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and decided to bowl first. MI's regular captain Rohit Sharma was not playing in this match as is dealing with his hamstring injury, and his team does not want to take any risk by getting him on-the-field before he fully recovers. It is noteworthy that the Mumbai Indians have already qualified for the playoffs and even tonight they defeated Delhi Capitals by 9-wickets to gain the momentum ahead of the crucial game.
