After MI speedsters Jasprit Bumrah (3/17) and Trent Boult (3/21) wreaked havoc in the first innings, Delhi Capitals had only 110 to defend, following a very disappointing performance from its batsmen. DC bowlers failed to perform any miraculous performance as MI were off to a solid start in the chase. The solid 68-run opening stand from De Kock (28-ball 26) and Kishan (47-ball 72) helped Mumbai Indians easily chase the target in the 15th over to win the match by nine wickets and deny DC a chance to seal a spot in the IPL 2020 play-offs with 16 points.
