The BCCI was lucky enough to create a window to stage the highly delayed 2020 IPL season following the International Cricket Council postponing the 2020 T20 World Cup scheduled to be held in Australia later this October-November. The Indian Cricket Board was starring at a potential revenue loss of Rs 4000 crore if the tournament, which usually takes place in April-May, had not been held. The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is taking place despite the alarming coronavirus threat, has already witnessed a spree of instances with contingent members of the CSK squad testing positive for the highly contagious virus. Chennai Super Kings has been the worst affected with 13 of its members, including two players, in quarantine after testing positive.
