Meanwhile, MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings managed to attract the most attention with their special gesture.

Even though veteran MS Dhoni decided to skip this year's auction, his team Chennai Super Kings ensured to somehow make his presence felt in a very unique way.

The Chennai-based franchise paid tribute to Mahi by sporting shirts with Dhoni’s iconic line – ‘Definitely Not’ imprinted on them.

Chennai Super Kings have won the IPL three times so far under the leadership of legendary MSD but last year did not go well for the Yellow Army. In IPL 2020, CSK failed to reach the IPL play-offs for the first time ever.

Post CSK's dismal outing in UAE, there were speculations that MS Dhoni might even decide to not play IPL anymore but it did not happen.

During an interview, cricketer-turned-commentator Morrison, before CSK’s last game of IPL 2020, had asked Dhoni if IPL 2020 was his last as a player, to which Dhoni replied in two words: “Definitely Not!”.
