IPL 2022: 10 Marquee Players Who Can Trigger A Bidding War At Mega Auction
The IPL 2022 mega auction will begin with the marquee players set. After that, the capped and uncapped players will go under the hammer alternately.
New Delhi: A total of 590 players will go under the hammer in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. As per the finalised list, 370 Indian players and 220 foreign players will take part in the IPL bidding. A total of 10 players have been kept in the set of marquee players for the auction. These include 6 foreign players while 4 Indian players.
David Warner, Faf du Plessis, Kagiso Rabada, Trent Bold, Pat Cummins and Quinton de Kock are the foreign players included in the marquee players list i.e. the top draw. The names of four Indian marquee players are R Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer, Mohammed Shami and Shikhar Dhawan.

The IPL 2022 mega auction is slated to take place in Bengaluru on 12th and 13th February. On Tuesday, the final list of IPL 2022 Mega Auction was prepared, which is exactly half of the original list of 1214 players. This time 44 new players have got a place in the auction pool for IPL.
IPL 2022 Mega Auction to start with the set of marquee player
In the final list of 590 players selected for the auction, 228 are capped players while 355 are uncapped players. 7 players are members of Associate Countries. The IPL auction will begin with the marquee players set.
After that, the capped and uncapped players will go under the hammer alternately. For this the sequence will be something like this, first batsman, then all-rounder, then wicket-keeper batsman, fast bowler and then spinners.
