The T20I series is important for both the teams as it will be considered as a build up to the ICC T20 World Cup slated to take place in Australia, next year.

Chase master Virat Kolhi's another batting master-class propelled team India to 6 wickets win in the first T20I against Windies at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. A true captain's knock from the Indian skipper (94 off 50 balls) helped the hosts chase down the massive 208-run target in 18.4 overs. Virat missed a well-deserved ton but he attained his highest score in T20Is, also this was team India's highest ever successful run-chase in the shortest format of the game.
