New Delhi: Indian cricket team's star all-rounder Shardul Thakur, an absolute asset to the national team, has been in brilliant form for some time now.
On Day 2 of Ind vs SA 2nd Test in Johannesburg, Shardul emerged as the star of the day. The 30-year-old picked up seven wickets, which included a maiden 5-fer in Tests, helping his team bundle up the hosts to a paltry 229. Shardul's clinical spell restricted South Africa's lead to just 27 runs in the first innings.
Meanwhile, an 'elated' Virat Kohli was caught on camera cheering for Shardul Thakur from the dressing room as the all-rounder hit Marco Jansen for three fours on Day 3 of the ongoing second Test against Proteas. Shardul's entertaining cameo came to an end after he scored 28 runs off 24 balls.
