Ind vs SA, 3rd Test: Virat Kohli Becomes 6th Indian Fielder To Complete 100 Catches In Test Cricket
Team India's red-ball captain Virat Kohli has become the 6th India fielder, who is not a wicket-keeper, to complete 100 catches for India in the longest format.
New Delhi: Indian cricket team's third and final Test of the three-match Test series is currently being played at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town.
On day 2 of Ind vs SA 3rd Test, India's red-ball skipper Virat Kohli added another feather to his cap as the star batter completed his 100th Test catch during this match. Kohli has become the 6th Indian fielder, who is not a wicket-keeper, to complete 100 catches for India in the longest format.
Former India cricketer and head coach Rahul Dravid is at the top of the list of players who have taken the most wickets in Test cricket for the national team. Dravid has completed 209 catches in 163 matches. Former Test specialist VVS Laxman is placed at number two in this list with help of 135 catches in 134 Test matches.

He is the sixth Indian fielder, who isn't a wicket-keeper, to get to the milestone in Tests.

'God of cricket' Sachin Tendulkar's is placed at number three in this list. The Master Blaster has completed 115 catches in 200 Test matches. Ex-India skipper Sunil Gavaskar is at number four with 108 catches and Mohammad Azharuddin is at number five with 105 catches.
Talking about the match, senior batters Virat Kohli (14*) and Cheteshwar Pujara (9*) managed to hold the fort till Stumps on day 2 of Ind vs SA 3rd Test as some resilience from the experienced duo propelled team India to 57/2, get a 70 run lead against South Africa. Batting first, India had scored 223 runs and then bowled out Proteas for 210 runs.
