Indian Cricket Team May Travel To Pakistan For Asia Cup 2023: Report

Due to political tensions between India and Pakistan, the two arch-rivals are seen playing against each other in multinational tournaments itself.

India vs Pakistan: In what comes as a positive news for India-Pakistan fans, Indian cricket team may travel to Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023. Pakistan are the hosts of Asia Cup 2023 and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is contemplating to visit Pakistan for the tournament, subject to final approval from the Indian government, Cricbuzz reported. If BCCI gets government's approval, team India will be traveling to Pakistan next year, for the first time since 2008.

Cricbuzz reported that plan of India visiting Pakistan for 50-overs Asia Cup 2023 is definitely on the agenda of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on October 18. Pakistan will host Asia Cup in the second half of 2023, which will be followed by the World Cup in India. 

Due to political tensions between India and Pakistan, bilateral series between the two teams has not been played for a long time. The two arch-rival teams are seen playing against each other in multinational tournaments itself.

If the government allows the Indian team to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup next year, there are chances that the relations between the two nations might improve to certain extent. Apart from the Asia Cup, Pakistan is also to host the ICC Champions Trophy in the coming years.

T20 World Cup 2022: India vs Pakistan on 23rd October 

India and Pakistan are all set to clash against one another for the third time in a few months as the two  teams are slated to clash against one another in next few days. After facing each other in two matches in the Asia Cup 2022, India and Pakistan are set to lock horns in the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. India and Pakistan will start their T20 WC campaign on 23rd October with a match against one another.  Last year, Pakistan defeated India in the T20 World Cup, while the Asia Cup 2022 also saw a tough fight between the two teams.
