India vs Australia T20 series: Australian cricket team arrived in India on Thursday for the three-match T20 series against India. Aussies recently attained a 3-0 clean sweep in ODI series against New Zealand. Still, beating India on home soil won't be easy for Australia. Ahead of T20 series, let's look at the top five players to watch out for in Ind vs Aus T20 series. Australia will play its first T20 match against India on 20th September while the 2nd T20I between the two teams will be played in Nagpur on 23rd September. The third and final T20I of the tour will be hosted in Hyderabad on September 25.

1. Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli ended his dry run in international cricket by making a solid comeback in the Asia Cup. He scored 276 runs in 5 matches at an average of 92 in the Asia Cup with help of his maiden T20 century and two half-centuries.

2. Steven Smith: Steve Smith has played only 8 matches since the 2021 T20 World Cup. During this, he has scored 134 runs at a strike rate of 107 and his highest score is 37. For Steve Smith, it is important to score runs in this series to retain his place in the team.

3. Yuzvendra Chahal: Star leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal wasn't in top form magic in the Asia Cup 2022 as he could not even get wickets in the initial matches. Chahal's aim will be to get as many wickets as possible in this series and curb runs, especially ahead of T20 World Cup in Australia.

4. Tim David: Tim David, known for his dangerous hard-hitting batting in franchise cricket, secured a place in Australian cricket team. Interestingly, David has played 14 T20 International matches for Singapore. He has scored 558 runs in 14 T20I matches at an average of 46.50 and a strike rate of 158.  He has also taken five wickets in these 14 matches.

5. Rishabh Pant: India's star wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has a golden opportunity to prove his mettle in the T20 format.  The Australia series will be very important for Pant, who has been struggling to score runs for some time. Since the last T20 World Cup, the left-hander has scored 422 runs in 22 matches at an average of 28.1, with just one half-century.
