'Animal Lover' Rohit Sharma Urges Fans To Celebrate Festival Of Colors Responsibly
Team India's star captain Rohit Sharma urged his fans to celebrate Holi carefully by making sure they don't put colors on stray animals.

For the unversed, senior opener Rohit Sharma, one of the finest batters of all time, is a member of PETA and has always been an animal lover, inspiring his millions of fans to show love to animals.

As the entire nation gears up to celebrate the much-loved festival by spraying colors on each other, captain Rohit Sharma urged his fans to celebrate Holi responsibly by making sure they don't put colors on stray animals.
"A day of colors, joy, food & fun with friends & family. May you all enjoy it to the fullest Jam ke Holi khelo but thoda sambhaalke & stray animals ko bachaake ( Celebrate Holi with all fun and fervour but be safe and avoid putting colour on stray animals)," he tweeted.

Earlier in January, Rohit Sharma scored a fifty in 1st ODI of the three-match series against Sri Lanka in Guwahati. The star batter celebrated his fifty by pointing his bat toward the sky, while mouthing a few words. Rohit's pet dog had reportedly passed away a day before this match. Many fans on Twitter claimed that Rohit dedicated his fifty to his late pet.
Meanwhile, in a video that went viral on social media, Rohit Sharma was spotted throwing 'gulaal' on his teammate, Virat Kohli. The video was posted by Shubman Gill on Instagram, showing the Indian team celebrating Holi in team bus ahead of the high-octane Ind vs Aus 4th Test in Ahmedabad.

Despite losing the 3rd Test, India still lead IND vs AUS Test series 2-1. The fourth and final match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from 9th March onwards.
