New Delhi: The much-awaited ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is to be played later this year in October-November in Australia. For this, all the teams participating in the tournament may have to submit their final squad list to the ICC by September 15, InsideSport reported, although the date has not been officially announced yet. Talking about the Indian cricket team India, they are scheduled to play four T20 International series (three bilateral series and one Asia Cup) ahead of T20 World Cup 2022 and on the basis of this, team India's T20 World Cup squad will likely be selected.

After the recently-concluded India-South Africa T20 International series, Team India's head coach Rahul Dravid said that the list of top 15-20 players will be ready after next month's India vs England T20 series.

According to InsideSport, each team will have to submit their squad to the ICC by the 15th of September. Team India is scheduled to play two-match T20I series against Ireland, a three-match T20I series against England, and three-match T20I series against West Indies from June 26 to August 2. After this, the Asia Cup is to be played this year in the T20 format itself, so India will have four opportunities to analyze and decide their squad for T20 World Cup.

Some big names are being considered in the Rohit Sharma-led India's T20 World Cup squad, but just ahead of the tournament, there may be some reshuffle in the team based on form and injuries. Some young players will be tried and tested under Hardik Pandya-led India's tour of Ireland.
