Harbhajan Singh predicts India-West Indies series result

Mumbai: Veteran Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh predicted that his compatriots will come out victorious against hosts West Indies in the all-important four-match Test series starting at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium here on Thursday. India had won both their previous series in the Caribbean with a 1-0 margin (2006 and 2011) and the upcoming four Tests will give the Anil Kumble-coached young side a brilliant opportunity to better that record. Going into the first Test, the Indians had a decent outing in both the warm-up games against the West Indies Cricket Board President's XI side, with both the batsmen and bowlers spending ample time in the middle. The 36-year-old also said that the hosts with a young team and with hardly any known face will be an advantage for the Virat Kohli-led outfit. “My predictions for Ind vs WI. @BCCI r fav to win the series.WI hv a young team nt sure if thy can match with Ind.Hardly any known face,” Harbhajan tweeted on Thursday.   Former India batsman V.V.S Laxman also wished India luck for the series. "Good luck Team India for the WI test series ?? @BCCI #IndvsWI," Laxman tweeted.       The hosts haven't won a Test series against anyone other than Bangladesh or Zimbabwe, home or away, since August 2012 while India can bank on their 2-1 away win against Sri Lanka and 3-0 thrashing of South Africa at home late last year.
