Paris: After winning the first round against Australia's Popyrin, Rafael Nadal will step on clay to face Richard Gasquet of France in the second round. Gasquet has played the Wimbledon semi-final in 2007 and 2015, but it will be an uphill task to defeat the 13-time Fench Open Champion. 

The Spaniard, Nadal is in a quest for his 14th French Open title. If Nadal manages to win the title, it will be his 21st overall grand slam title, which will be the highest achieved by any men's player ever.  Earlier today (Thursday), Federer defeated Cilic and Djokovic also won in straight sets against Cuevas. 

Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic are all in the same quarter, which means only one of them could go in the final. It is being speculated that Djokovic might face Nadal in the semi-final. But it won't be as easy for the Spaniard to win his 14th Roland Garros this time. Alexei Popyrin of Australia will be the one who will face Nadal in the first round of the French Open.
