Former Pakistan All-Rounder Believes Jasprit Bumrah Is A 'Baby Bowler'

New Delhi: Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq believes India lethal speedster Jasprit Bumrah is a 'baby bowler' in comparison to legendary bowlers like Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath, and Shoaib Akhtar. Razzaq also said he believes that he would have easily dominated Bumrah, had he been active till now in the game. "I have played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him," said Razzaq in an interview to Cricket Pakistan. The Pakistan veteran represented his national squad in ODIs from 1996 to 2011 and was seen as a good all-rounder as he managed to attain the World No.2 all-rounder spot during the early 2000s. "After having faced world-class bowlers in my time, I would have had no problem against a bowler like Bumrah. The pressure would have been on him," Razzaq further added. After leading the bowling attack in World Cup 2019, Bumrah suffered a stress fracture on his lower back in September during Windies tour that saw him getting ruled out from home series against South Africa, T20I and Test series against Bangladesh and T20I and ODI series against West Indies on home soil. “Injuries are part & parcel of the sport. Thank you for all your recovery wishes. My head is held high & I am aiming for a comeback that’s stronger than the setback,” Bumrah had tweeted in September and has been posting regular updates on his recovery.
