Manchester City have scripted history. The English club has completed a historic treble and became the first team-ever from the country since Manchester United in 1998-99 to win three titles (Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League) in the same season and just the second England team to have done so. They achieved the distinction by beating Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final in Istanbul. In a game of few opportunities, Rodri's 68th minute goal proved to be the difference between the two sides as he found the back of the net through a stunning finish as Pep Guardiola's City clinched their maiden UEFA Champions League title after dominating a significant part of the season peaking just at the right time.

Guardiola is not new to winning trebles having previosuly done so with Barcelona in the 2008-09 season. He even had a memorable stint with the Bayern Munich but his stint at the Etihad Stadium has been nothing short of sensational and his latest trophy win has just taken his legacy to another level. It is also a testimony to his consistency as the City boss.

Manchester City had beaten their city rivals Manchester United 2-1 at at the Wembley Stadium in London on June 3 to secure their 7th FA Cup title on Saturday. Their win here came after they had already secured yet another Premier League title for themselves in dramatic fashion after Arsenal stayed at the top for the majority of the season.

As far as Inter Milan are concerned, they did have their moments in the game, most famously Romelu Lukaku coming agozingly close to equalising. However, Man City keeper Ederson was alert and ensured no damage is done and City prevails in the end.
