Scotland Vs Hungary Euro 2024: Kevin Csoboth scored his first-ever international goal against Scotland and what a time for the Hungarian to attain the feet, as his injury-time winner gifted Hungary all three points. With Hungary’s 1-0 win, it now means that Scotland have been knocked out of the Euro 2024.

Hungary will be hanging their hopes on the shoulders of the other outcomes of third-placed teams' fixtures, as their path to Round of 16 heavily depends upon victory of group toppers over the likes of bottom-placed sides in their respective groups.

Scotland's quest for creating history has now ended, as they end yet another European mega event within the group stages. Hungary, on the other hand, were producing spectacular performances from past 3 Euros, as Euro 2016 and Euro 2020 saw them trouble the likes of big guns such as Portugal, Germany.

Even in this year's edition, the Hunagrians were very much in the matches with Switzerland and Germany, but the latter two showed decisiveness in the final third to break the deadlock and snatch all the three points. It was looking like an end of the road for both Soctland and Hungary, as a draw would not be of good help to any of the two sides.

Constant counter-attacks, long-balls, diagonal passes, crosses followed in and with 10 minutes into the injury time, Hungary met their golden hour, as Roland Sallai crossed in for Kevin Csoboth, who met the cut-back cross first time with his right foot into the bottom left corner to send the Hungarian fans and break the Scottish hearts.

Scotland could not believe what unfolded before their eyes as they were in complete distraught and the goal proved to be the final kick of the game, as referee Facundo Tello blew the full-time whistle, and Hungary registered their first win of Euro 2024.
