FIFA World Cup 2022: Top Players To Watch Out For In Argentina Vs Croatia Clash

New Delhi: Argentina is set to lock horns against Croatia in the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup 2022.  The last time they played each other was in the 2018 World Cup. Croatia outplayed Argentina by scoring three goals. Croatia has been performing well in the 2022 edition of the FIFA World Cup. They defeated Brazil in the penalty shootouts and now will be facing a giant Argentina on their road to victory. Argentina on the other hand is all set to play Croatia on December 14.

1. Lionel Messi

Messi has achieved almost everything but is yet to win the FIFA World Cup trophy, for which he has been playing in every World Cup for the last 16 years (2006, 2010, 2014, 2018, and now 2022). Eight years ago, Messi led Argentina to the 2014 World Cup final, losing 0-1 to Germany. 35-year-old Messi has had a remarkable career, establishing himself as one of the greatest footballers of all time. He is often compared to the late Diego Maradona, the legendary footballer who too played for Argentina like Messi.

2. Dominik Livakovic 

Livakovic is one of the big names in  Croatia’s lineup. He has played a crucial role in Croatia’s winning run in the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2022. For the last 2 weeks, he has shown his finesse in penalty shootouts. He is the only goalkeeper along with Harald Schumacher and Danijel Subasic who saved four shootouts.
