Bayer Leverkusen hosted Hoffenheim for their Bundesliga 2023/24 Matchday 27 fixture, as the league leaders were looking to extend their unbeaten run across all competitions. The fixture at BayArena started on an electric note as Bayer Leverkusen continued being agresive from the first minute itself. 

However, the home fans were stunned as a brilliant piece of skill from Maximilian Beier and Wout Weghorst involved a quick one-two and a neat finish from the former through the legs of Lukas Hradecky into the near post gave the visitors a huge advantage in the 33rd minute.
