Supercopa De Espana 2024: French footballer Antione Griezmann created history for his club Atletico Madrid as he became their all-time leading goalscorer with an unrealistic banger goal against Real Madrid in the semi-final clash of the Supercopa De Espana (Spanish Super Cup) on January 10.
Antoine Griezmann has now scored 260 goals, alongside 114 assists and sits atop as Atletico Madrid’s all time top goalscorer with 174 goals for the club. He surpassed club legend Luis Aragones, who was the previous record holder with 173 goals in 370 matches.
Speaking in the post match interview, he was disappointed with the loss but felt honoured and showed gratitude for the record achieved by the Frenchman.
The World Cup winner with France in 2018 also boasts an impressive international record. The forward has been pivotal for France and the former FC Barcelona player has notched up 44 goals in 127 games and sits at fourth on France’s all time top scoring list.
